Today we announce Epitomical Spur has been selected as a Finalist for Red Herring's Top 100 Europe award, a prestigious list honouring the year’s most promising independent technology ventures from the European business region.
The Red Herring editorial team selects the most innovative companies from a pool of hundreds from across Europe. The nominees are evaluated on a wide range of quantitative and qualitative criteria including: disruptive impact, market footprint, proof of concept, financial performance, technology innovation, social value, quality of management, execution of strategy, and integration into their respective industries. Naturally, we are thrilled to have made it through this rigourous selection process and distinguished ourselves as a finalist.
This unique assessment of potential is also complemented by a review of each company’s existing achievements and historical track-record, in addition to a consideration of its present standing. This allows Red Herring to see past any immediate “buzz” and refine the list into a durable and valuable instrument for discovering and advocating the greatest business opportunities in the industry.

Finalists for the 2015 edition of the Red Herring 100 Europe award are selected based upon their technological innovation, management strength, market size, investor record, customer acquisition, and financial health. During the months leading up to the announcement, hundreds of companies in the telecommunications, security, Web 2.0, software, hardware, biotech, mobile and other industries completed their submissions to qualify for the award.
The Finalists are invited to present their winning strategies at the Red Herring Europe Forum in Amsterdam, April 13-15, 2015. The Top 100 winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony the evening of April 15 at the event.

With enough gadgetry on demonstration to entice James Bond, one might have expected Daniel Craig to drop in through a skylight … he didn’t. We were, however, thrilled to have our stand at the showcase visited by David Cameron and Angela Merkel who came out to show their support. A fantastic result for us then, loaded with inspiration and useful ideas to carry forward. Success is very much a relative term; but when we reached the finish of the event we absolutely felt like winners – though, modesty prevents us from calling our stand at CeBit a podium …
